How Blood Test is Performed
Testing is done on blood drawn after a minimum 8-hr fast at a Quest Diagnostics Phlebotomy Site near your home.
- Choose a blood test panelthe Longevity Standard, Longevity Advanced, or Longevity Advanced Plus test panel.
- Fill in a short Client Information and Health Questionnaire. The questionnaire will be used to assess your current health status, individualize your laboratory report, and inform your lifestyle coaching session.
- Complete the payment information at the bottom of the questionnaire.
- Receive an email confirmation of your purchase with instructions for scheduling your blood draw at a Quest Diagnostics phlebotomy location near you.
- Schedule your Quest Phlebotomy Appointment.
- Fast for at least 8 hours before the blood draw, that is, nothing to eat or drink except for water, black coffee, or tea without dairy, non-dairy or sugar products added. You are advised to drink plenty of these liquids.
How Genetics Test is Performed
Testing is done on a buccal swab specimen that you will self-collect from the inside of your cheeks at home using the kit mailed to you by Boston Heart Diagnostics, the testing laboratory. As this is a genetics test, it only needs to be performed once.
- Select the Longevity Genetics or Longevity Advanced Plus test panel.
- Fill in a short questionnaire about your current health status. The questionnaire will be used to individualize your laboratory report and inform your lifestyle coaching session.
- Complete the Longevity Diagnostics Payment Form.
- Receive an email confirmation of your purchase with instructions about how to collect the buccal swab specimen and send it to Boston Heart Diagnostics for testing.
Note that no fasting is required for this specimen collection.
